Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The vampirish Stefanie Paoli (Kitty Gordon) dumps Gabriel Barrato (Montagu Love) to marry the Marquis de Mohrivart (Alec Francis), who runs a gambling casino in Paris. Gabriel responds by killing himself. Years later, Stefanie is the casino's mistress. Gabriel's brother Benedetto (Montagu Love again) comes around in search of revenge and in his attempt to kill Stefanie, he stabs the Marquis instead and is sent to jail. Meanwhile, Stefanie's son has been studying in England, and has wed Rose Verney (Norma Phillips). But Stefanie won't acknowledge the marriage, and her son dies from shock. This doesn't stop Stefanie from using her connection to the Verneys to move upward in society. To get her out of the way, Sir Horace Welby (George MacQuarrie), who is engaged to Alice Verney, finds a man who bears a close resemblance to Benedetto (once again, Montagu Love). He sends the man to the frightened Stefanie, who does not know that Benedetto is dead. While Kitty Gordon was the star of this ridiculous drama, Montagu Love found himself overworked with his three roles!
