The James Bond film series has been spoofed many a time over the years, but no Bond spoof ever turned out quite as odd or surreal as For Your Height Only. Surprisingly, the plot plays the premise straight and sets up a serviceable storyline for a quickie spy film. However, the film's treatment of this storyline pushes For Your Height Only head over heels into the bizarre: the presence of three foot-high star Weng Weng brings new meaning to the expression "stunt casting," and his involvement in the many stunts and fight scenes adds a heavy dose of slapstick to the action. The English dubbing for the film enhances the film's aura of weirdness by adding a lot of funny accents and corny one-liners that most likely weren't present on the original soundtrack. The end result is an oddity that will leave the average viewer scratching his or her head. That said, fans of cult-movie oddness will probably have a field day with For Your Height Only's combination of cut-rate action and daft humor.
