Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This routine drama is brightened by the presence of a couple of the silent era's better known names, shortly before they achieved real stardom. Frederick Searle (Stephen Grattan) is suffering through hard financial times, and to save him, his daughter, Needa (Grace Darling), agrees to marry his rival, John Davis Warren (Anders Randolph). To do this she has to give up the man she really loves, a young engineer by the name of Hugh Stanton (Rod LaRocque). The unhappy marriage becomes even more miserable for Needa because an adventuress (Nita Naldi) fuels Warren's jealousy with some false stories about her. The couple split up, but Warren tries to return. Needa turns him down, so he goes to the adventuress instead. Stanton is also given a message to come to the woman's home, and he gets there just as Warren is shot. Luckily, there is a witness to foil the adventuress' plan to have Stanton framed for the murder. With the death of Warren, Needa and Stanton can now marry.
