In this peripatetic weekly series from cable's Food Network, the producers traveled from town to town, setting up "cookout challenges" to prepare the most popular local delicacies. Each episode featured two competing teams, comprised of persons who would not otherwise be caught dead together: motorcycle-gang members vs. suburban soccer moms, civic club women vs. construction workers, etc. Both teams were given two hours and 20 dollars to prepare a dinner using the same ingredients. The winners were judge on the basis of ingenuity, attractiveness of presentation, and, of course, taste. Food Fight premiered on May 22, 2003.
