Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
The focus of this Swedish semi-documentary is a brief look at life from the perspective of Esther (Esther Siki), a young village woman in Cameroon. Esther's somewhat bucolic existence in the small agricultural world of the village changes when she goes to the city to find a richer, more exciting life. There she must face economic realities and their often dismal resolution by any means at all, including prostitution. Her decisions, and her relationships with her friends, reveal a simple humanity in very ordinary aspects of life.
