Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
While on a summer vacation in the Saar in 1932, a group of Hitler Youth and a contrasting communist group vie for leadership of a youth hostel. In the background, a folk group sings and dances traditional songs -- many of which were later co-opted by the Nazi government -- as the title song Flamme Empor was. This film was originally made for German television.
