Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A man whose life is falling apart discovers that there may be some truth to that old adage "everything happens for a reason" after hitting rock bottom and learning to climb his way back up to the top. On the morning of his 5oth birthday, Lenny Vincent (Barry Hilton)'s wife runs away with her younger lover. Things go from bad to worse when he's subsequently told that his services as coach of a youth soccer team will no longer be required, and a few hours later, Lenny loses his job as well. That afternoon, Lenny and his best friend David are drowning their sorrows at a local restaurant when a gang of armed robbers burst in and tell everyone to hit the floor. At his wits end, Lenny unleashes a verbal tirade that quickly lands him in the trunk of the gang's getaway car. Later, after being dumped in a remote village, Lenny meets the local chief, an unrepentant soccer fanatic, and learns that developers are planning to bulldoze the village to make way for a lavish golf course. And while one of the coach's sons remains dedicated to his people and their village, the other sides with the developers and plots to strike it rich in the city. It soon occurs to Lenny that this could be his moment to shine, and in the process of coaching the chief's team to victory in a decisive game against the developers, he not only works to reunite a broken family, but finally finds true love as well.
