Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Billing himself "Will Nigh" for the occasion, director William Nigh also produced, wrote and starred in this obscure silent western. Nigh played Jim Tumble, a wayward youth returning to the old homestead a wanted criminal. Jim's mother (Louise MacIntosh) and sister (Marjorie Daw) successfully hide him from the sheriff's posse but are not so lucky when nasty Pa Tumble (Ed Roseman) and even nastier brothers Luke (James Bradbury, Jr.) and Ed (Warner Richmond) arrive a bit later. Pa Tumble forces Jim to help rob an ore shipment. After which Ma calls him a dirty coward and kicks him out of the house. To prove himself worthy of being called a man, Jim kills Luke and brings Ed and Pa to justice. As a result, he is welcomed back by Ma and declared a hero by the grateful neighbors.
