synopsis
The true story of a small fisherman's family in America at the outset of WWII, this is a superior TV drama depicting one of the most despicable chapters of American history. During WWII, in order to prevent espionage, all Japanese living in the country--whether American-born or not--were placed in detention camps. In the course of doing this, families were split up, possessions were destroyed or confiscated, and the injustice of the conditions in the facilities is something we will never be able to live down. This is the story of one such unfortunate family.
