Cissy (Kathy Garver) befriends a sophisticated, jet-setting teenager named Dana Mason (Lori Martin). The daughter of a celebrated theatrical couple (Liam Sullivan, Kathleen Crowley), Dana never tires of bragging about her parents' idyllic marriage, dropping famous names and disdaining Cissy's modest, stay-at-home lifestyle. Ultimately it is revealed that, for all her pretensions, Dana is desperately insecure and lonely--and worse, her parents are on the verge of divorce.
