This program explores the rising appreciation among the downtrodden working classes for the doctrine espoused by Marx and Engels. Also detailed is the crumbling of the once powerful Austro-Hungarian empire. As if pieces of a puzzle, the events that would allow for the onset of WWI are chronicled using archival footage and the testimony of historical experts.
