Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovski's elaborate adaptation of Aleksandr Pushkin's passionate and tragic tale is performed before a live audience at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in a production featuring libretto by Konstantin Shilovsky and directed by Graham Vick. Conductor Andrew Davis leads the London Philharmonic, and Elena Prokina, Wojciech Drabowicz, and Martin Thompson star.
