Two strangers brought together by fate set out on a journey full of surprises in this drama from Mexico. Pat (Humberto Zurita) was a charismatic and well-respected rock star in the 1980s, but his star has faded and he's not sure what to do with his life. One evening, Pat is nearly killed in an accident, but his life is saved by the intervention of Ana (Ana Seradilla), a beautiful young woman in her twenties. Eager to repay her, Pat agrees to drive her to the small town where she was born (and where her grandfather still lives). As Pat and Ana make their way through the back roads of Mexico, they get to know one another better, and he begins to wonder if with Ana he can find a future that will help buffer the sins of his past. The first project in five years from director Alfonso Corona, Euforia received its world premiere at the 2009 Cinequest Film Festival.
