Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
This is an interesting spiritual fantasy about a holy immortal named Esthappan who lives in a village along the coast near Bombay. Esthappan appears never to age and manifests many miracles: he walks on water, can change his appearance at will, heals the sick, and can transmute stones into food. As Esthappan's unusual nature is revealed, the local villagers are "interviewed." Skepticism underlies the questions to the villagers, as might be expected.
