Debuting in 1988, Escape was one of the many travel-lifestyle programs which dotted the Australian TV landscape. The big difference here was that, instead of encouraging travel outside the continent, this series focused on the natural beauties of Australia itself. A team of five reporters handled the on-location segments. Thirteen hour-long episodes of Escape were transmitted Down Under by the Seven Network.
