Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Escape from the Sea is a colorful little children's film set on the Cornish coast. A group of kids become stranded on an island, where the incoming tide threatens to engulf them. Speeding to the rescue is the coast guard, fighting mountainous ocean waves to reach the children. The above-average photography and direction compensates for the lack of recognizable actors in the cast. Escape from the Sea succeeds in holding its young audience's attention for 57 minutes.
