Synopsis by Hal Erickson

This weekly CBC children's series served to unite two of Canada's most popular TV personalities: balladeer Ed McCurdy and puppeteer Ross Snetsinger. On this half-hour effort, Ed and Ross held court in a nutty old house, festooned with secret panels and hidden rooms. The series was distinguished by the hosts' secret handshakes and "code words," their crazy inventions, exciting games in which the kids at home could participate, songs and stories courtesy of McCurdy, and the puppet antics of Snetsinger's "friend" Foster the Dog. Produced in Toronto, Ed and Ross was seen on Thursday afternoons from July 4, 1957 to September 24, 1959.
