Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This picture was a typical Ivan Abramson production -- a sensational, moralistic potboiler. Leah Baird stars as bad girl Olive Martin, a cabaret singer who sets out to blackmail ex-lover Peter Graham (Charles Richman) when she discovers that he has just landed a seat on the Supreme Court. She demands that he divorce his wife (Marie Shotwell) and marry her; otherwise she will reveal that he has a son by her. The young man, Harold (Jack McLean), is a Boston reporter who is in the midst of a romance with Anita (Pearl Shepard), Graham's daughter. When the happy couple arrives in New York to announce their engagement, they are shocked when Graham absolutely forbids their union. Olive tells Harold that Anita is his half-sister. Fortunately for the young people, Olive's brother-in-law reveals that Harold is his own son, and that Olive was just using him for her own ends. The couple is happily united, and Graham is prevented from committing suicide.
