synopsis
The owner of a liquor store is killed during a holdup--in which, curiously, no money was stolen. Friday (Jack Webb) and Smith (Ben Alexander) are puzzled by this fact, and by presence of a .38 bullet casing, but no corresponding slug. Soon afterward, a doctor reports that he removed the missing slug from a young patient. Though the detectives think they have their man, there are still a few twists and turns in store for them. This episode is a remake of the Dragnet radio broadcast of February 22, 1955.
