synopsis
Friday (Jack Webb) and Smith (Ben Alexander) swing into action to find the hit-and-run driver who killed an old woman and her grandson. The owner of the bakery truck driven in the accident swears that he is innocent, and that he lent the vehicle to a casual acquaintance named Paul. The detectives follow up this story, making no secret of their doubts that the elusive "Paul" ever really existed. Based on a radio broadcast of November 8, 1951, this is one of the most often revived episodes from Dragnet's original 1951-59 TV network run.
