A variation on the ancient Raffles theme, Double Danger desperately calls for a hero possessing a certain suavity and finesse. A David Niven type, to be more precise. But instead of Niven, this little action programmer from RKO offers Preston S. Foster, ruggedly handsome, but far from sophisticated and suave. We also get a gaggle of comedy cat burglars with a habit of scaring the pants off each other and the usual insipid leading lady (Whitney Bourne). Lew Landers directs them all with his usual heavy hand and the result is only mildly entertaining in places.
