synopsis
Colin Friels stars as John "Dingo" Anderson, a dog trapper in Australian outback. Also an erstwhile musician, Dingo's lifelong dream is to play jazz with the legendary Billy Cross. To realize this goal, Dingo leaves his wife, child and country behind to trek to Paris. Cross is played by the immortal Miles Davis, in his one and only screen appearance. Davis' unselfconscious performance, coupled with a mellow musical score, are the film's chief assets; the script, alas, is not as good as premise. Dingo was originally released in Australia in 1992 as Dingo: Dog of the Desert.
