Synopsis by Mark Deming

Several leading practitioners of the art of the ecdysiast show off their talents (and that's not all) in this vintage burlesque feature. Shot at the Moulin Rouge Theater in Oakland, CA, Ding-Dong: A Night in the Moulin Rouge features striptease routines from such famed peelers as Illona ("the Bavarian Orchid"), Iva Pratt (a hillbilly-style dancer), Pat Flannery, Doreen, and Jennie Lee. Also included are a number of comedy sketches poking fun at baseball, cocktail parties, and unionization (among other things) starring Little Jack Little, George "Beetlepuss" Lewis, and Charlie Crafts. Ding-Dong: A Night in the Moulin Rouge also features several musical numbers, with some of the dangers also revealing their musical talents.
