Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by Thomas Stiller, Die Wunde ("The Wound") chronicles young Julia's (Alexandra Schalaudek) efforts at revenge against the father she has never met. Robert (Horst-Gunter Marx), a callous business tycoon, had abandoned Julia's mother after an accident which left her bound to a wheelchair, leaving a then-unborn Julia to spend her youth caring for her disabled parent. Eventually, Julia gets a job at a strip club her father has been known to frequent. Along the way, she falls in love with Hendrick (Marek Harloff), without realizing that he is her half-brother. When Hendrik's mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, his father Robert (Marx) left them in the same heartless manner as he had exhibited towards Julia's family. Die Wunde also features Sabine Vitua, Tajana Blacher, Annett Renneberg, Jens Eulenberger, and Mareike Fell.
