This psychological thriller is a polished presentation that could benefit from a little more grime, noise and eccentricity. Directed by and starring artists known primarily for their television credits, Die Sister, Die is a bit tame for its ilk, despite a few unsettling dream sequences and a curious incident of bird murder towards the end. The plot itself is a fairly familiar "skeletons in the closet" routine, with the requisite back-stabbing and double-crossing on hand to essentially render each protagonist unsympathetic. Horror buffs will enjoy seeing Kent Smith (Cat People, The Curse of the Cat People) and his wife Edith Atwater (The Body Snatcher, Strait-Jacket) appearing on the same screen during their twilight years, though Die Sister, Die is hardly up to the standard of the classic films of their early careers.
