Synopsis by Dennis Proctor
Dick Howser was a lively infielder for a number of major league baseball teams from 1961 to 1968. Howser became the manager of the Kansas City Royals in 1980 and later led his team to the 1985 World Series Championship. In this instructional video, Howser demonstrates techniques that are said to help players improve virtually every aspect of their game, including hitting, catching, bunting, baserunning, pitching, and sliding. Rod Delmonico assists Howser in a number of "hands on" examples that are intended to identify and correct common performance errors in individual offensive and defensive skills. The program runs 60 minutes and is the follow-up to Dick Howser's Baseball Workout, Vol. 1.
