synopsis
A French musician named Gerard (Jean-Hugues Anglade) is driving across the Midwest when he meets Megan (Connie Nielsen), an attractive woman who is travelling with her younger sister, Dominique (Mia Kirshner). Word reaches the women that their father has died, and when they decide to head to Seattle to be with their mother (Anne Archer), Gerard tags along. However, he discovers all too late that Dominique has a dangerously unstable side, and when she impulsively kills several people en route to Seattle, Gerard finds himself a suspect in the murders. The supporting cast also includes Robert Culp and Keith David; an unbilled Frank Langella plays the dying father.
