While most daytime dramas deal with romance, heartbreak, and the typical stuff of soap operas, when Dark Shadows debuted in 1966, it was obvious from the outset this was something different. Set in the mysterious New England community of Collinsport, ME, Dark Shadows concerned a family that has been cursed with evil in many forms, including vampires, witches, werewolves, and other creatures of the darkness. The show made Jonathan Frid's portrayal of vampire Barnabus Collins one of the great cult objects in television history, and more than three decades after the series went off the air in 1971, Dark Shadows still claims legions of fans who follow the stories in reruns or on home video. Dark Shadows Memories is a documentary which looks at the history of the show and its continued popularity, featuring rare films clips and interviews.
