synopsis
Veteran Western villain Al Taylor, as "Scar" Hanan, Joseph Girard's chief henchman, stole the show in this otherwise ordinary silent oater from assembly-line company Action Pictures. Buddy Roosevelt played Buddy Martin (he was always "Buddy" something-or-other in his films), a hired hand who uncovers a plot to defraud Peggy Montgomery. A fixture in budget Westerns from the mid-'20s until his retirement in 1946, mustachioed Al Taylor almost always played less-than-honorable citizens, usually languishing way down in the cast-lists, but always a welcome sight.
