Directed by the veteran Robert F. Hill under his usual pseudonym of Rock Hawkey, Danger Trail contains a scene in which leading man Guinn "Big Boy" Williams actually does kiss his horse, perhaps the only time in history this often mentioned but highly inaccurate B-Western cliche was actually performed. That tender moment notwithstanding, Danger Trails is a slow-moving, ineptly performed, low-budget oater.
