Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Argentine directors Christian Bernard and Flavio Nardini co-helm the bittersweet seriocomedy D-Graduated, which intersects a trio of tales from a 20th anniversary high school reunion. All are set during the same long evening and each observes alumni grappling with the costs of change. The film begins with former trophy couple Melina and Guido - once regarded by many as the class's best bet for a happy life - who later endured a singularly acrimonious split and now find themselves thrust back together, awkwardly, for the same event; a second tale follows former class bully Luis Maria, who had a life-changing experience reading the literature of Paulo Coelho and evolved from a foul, mean and vindictive monster into a sensitive guy; and the third substory observes Buenos Aires native Lito, who moved abroad and established himself in a lucrative career and affluent lifestyle but felt distanced from his origins. As the reunion materializes, it presents an opportunity for each individual to reconnect with the dashed hopes and lost dreams of youth.
