Cyclone Ranger (1935)
by Hans J. Wollstein review

There isn't a ranger in sight in this obscure but quite entertaining low-budget Western from producer Ray Kirkwood's Johnny-come-lately Gower Gulch Company Spectrum Pictures Corp. Bill Cody was never one of Hollywood's more personable cowboys, but he is at least tolerable here, eschewing the childish hi-jinks that had marred earlier efforts. Earl Hodgins, like the rest of the supporting cast, goes in and out of a Mexican accent but is amusing nevertheless, and Nena Quartero (who hailed from New York), makes an exotic leading lady for Cody. The Cyclone Ranger was an unofficial remake of the 1933 Jack Hoxie vehicle Gun Law.
