Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

The setting is Hong Kong, where two children were separated when their parents divorced. The daughter Ting Ling (Lee Yin Yin) went with the career-woman mother to live abroad, and the son stayed with the school-teacher father to be raised in the city. The years go by, and when the daughter returns to visit Hong Kong, she is herself a teacher and is engaged to a social worker (Eddy Chan). She runs into a young man by accident who is selling pornographic pictures and who has a limp due to a mishap while he was in prison -- in short, he is one of Hong Kong's low-scale criminals. But his last name (Ting) is the same as hers, and she notices that he likes to mix milk with his cream soda, something her younger brother did all the time. That convinces her as to his real identity, and she pushes him on it until he tells the truth. This catharsis leads to a few others, bringing the family together to come to grips with the effects of their separation.
