Hong Kong filmmaker Ban Lam directed this standard crime farce which hurls rapid-fire gags at the audience in the style of Airplane! and The Kentucky Fried Movie. The story line deals with two rivals, Black Lama (Liu Wai-hung) and Golden Dragon (Melvin Wong), who each want to capture the famous jewel thief Tseng before the other one does to get a precious diamond which he stole. They find out that one of Tseng's old partners is in jail serving a life sentence, so they both get themselves arrested and thrown in with him, only to help him escape. The whole thing ends up at a masquerade ball with the expected mistaken identities and bait-and-switch routines being utilized to full, if not particularly original, effect. Tai Po co-stars.
