Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Conquered Hearts was a vehicle for Marguerite Marsh, the pretty but modestly talented sister of silent screen superstar Mae Marsh. The story concerns one Maggie McGuiness, a humble salesgirl who becomes an overnight sensation in the movies under the new moniker Honor Hale. Along the way, she forgets about her prizefighter boyfriend and begins an affair with an English nobleman. But blood will tell, and by film's end Maggie/Honor has returned to her pugnacious sweetie. Conquered Hearts was a pleasant diversion, but its protracted 90-minute running time worked against it.
