Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Priscilla Dean, Universal's most popular leading lady of the early twenties, heads the cast of Conflict. Compelled by family loyalty to live with her uncle, evil lumber baron Ed Connelly, Dean incurs the jealous wrath of Connelly's housekeeper Martha Mattox. After nearly suffering an "accidental" demise, Dean seeks refuge in the home of Connelly's chief rival, Herbert Rawlinson. When Rawlinson is abducted by Connelly's stooges, plucky Dean takes her protectors' place amongst the he-man loggers. Conflict doesn't miss a trick, not even the obligatory waterfall finale. Stars Priscilla Dean and Herbert Rawlinson would slip dramatically at the box office over the next few seasons: by 1926, they'd be costarring in a Hal Roach 2-reel comedy, Slipping Wives, wherein their thunder would be stolen by supporting players Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
