synopsis
Though he's scheduled to be furloughed, Pvt. Cantrell (Phillip Pine) is called back to active duty for a dangerous wiretapping mission. Cantrell has been selected for this "honor" because he speaks fluent German and will be able to slip into enemy territory unnoticed. Woven into this intrigue is a subplot involving a cake sent to Pvt. Littlejohn (Dick Peabody) by his mother--with strict instructions that the box containing the cake cannot be opened until his birthday.
