synopsis
King Company's two newest replacements are as different as night and day. Slovenly Charlie Pelton (Claude Akins is a self-admitted goldbrick; conversely, clean-cut Ollie Joe Brown (Robert Walker Jr.) is doggedly determined to be what he calls "G.I. Perfect." Having grown up an orphan, Ollie Joe has known no other "real" home but the Army, and he quickly latches on to Sgt. Saunders (Vic Morrow) as a father figure. Unfortunately, Ollie Joe's neurotic pursuit of military excellence proves dangerous to Saunders--and himself--during a bloody confrontation with the Germans.
