synopsis
In this mystery, based on an Edgar Wallace novel, a Scotland Yard detective begins investigating the strange deaths of a series of financiers. His search leads him to a mentally-disturbed hermit, a financial genius who is kept in a locked room. The detective must now prove his guilt.
