Clouds over Israel (1966)

Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
In this tragedy an Israeli jet pilot must bail out over the Sinai as his jet begins to crash. He soon discovers that his downed plane killed a group of Bedouins. The only survivors were a severely burned woman, her 5-year old son, and a baby daughter. The pilot takes care of them as best he can. Another Israeli officer comes and wants to kill the Bedoins, but the pilot will not let them. The group begins working together and slowly the officer learns compassion. To escape the desert, the group steals an Egyptian reconnaissance plane and repair it. It is a small plane so the officer decides to stay behind. He watches the plane take off and subsequently crash. Only the baby girl survives. The film ends as the soldier and the baby head off into the desert.
