Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Thom Fitzgerals's road movie Cloudburst stars Brenda Fricker and Olympia Dukakis as Dot and Stella, a lesbian couple who, after spending over three decades together, head north of the border into Canada so that they can be legally married - a decision prompted in part because Dot's granddaughter is making final plans to more her into a retirement home, an event that would keep the couple separated.
