synopsis
Drunken songwriter Lew Ayres and working-girl Marjorie Steele are convinced that they've murdered hedonistic artist James Griffith. They run off together, falling in love while en route to who knows where. Every step of the way, they are pursued by diligent detective Sonny Tufts, who has a very special reason for catching up with the two fugitives. The storyline strains credulity to the breaking point, but the San Francisco locations add a veneer of authenticity. City on a Hunt was originally released as No Escape.
