Synopsis
The conclusion begins with Churchill on a Normandy beach---five days after D-Day. The following year would see victory for Britain and defeat for him: He lost his reelection campaign. Churchill would move back into 10 Downing St. in 1951, but by then Britain had lost its place on the world stage and he was bitter about it. Churchill retired in 1955 following a stroke. "It's the first death," said his wife, Clementine. The second one came on Jan. 24, 1965.
