Another issue from Hong Kong's Shaw Brothers, Enchanting Shadow stars Chao Lei as Ning, a divinity student. Retreating to a temple to reflect, Ning is bedeviled by the spirits of the dead, few of whom are friendly. Foremost among the ghosts is Hsiao Chien (Betty Loh Tih), who tries to seduce the hapless Ning. He manages to resist her charms, thereby saving his own soul--but there's a satisfying romantic denouement for the "Enchanting Shadow" all the same. This film was originally titled Chin Nu Yu Hin.
