John McMartin appears as Dr. Lawrence Crandall, an esteemed expert in personal relationships and the author of a best-selling book on marital fidelity. With all this going for Crandall, is it any wonder that no one believes Rebecca (Kirstie Alley) when she claims that the good doctor made a pass at her?
