Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Police investigate the murder of a photographer who was writing a novel called "The Bearded General." The theme of the book concerns a general who orders everyone to grow a moustache. The dead man's life is revealed in a series of confusing flashbacks as the police interview the victim's friends, mistress and landlady. The mistress has her own story explained in flashbacks, but they seem to have nothing to do with the man's death. It is implied but never proven that she may have been the murderer.
