Synopsis by Mark Deming
One of the truly legendary figures of reggae music, Bunny Wailer was a founding member of the Wailers with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, and went on to a solo career in which he revealed himself as one of the strongest and most compelling voices in world music, equally adept at hardcore Rastafarian roots music and updated dancehall styles. Bunny Wailer in Concert was recorded during Wailer's triumphant performance at Madison Square Garden during his 1986 American tour, which marked his first appearances outside of Jamaica in nearly ten years. Selections include "Blackheart Man," "Cool Runnings," "Dreamland," and others.
