synopsis
While playing on the beach, a little boy and little girl are bothered by a sand-kicking bully. Her eyes filled with sand, the little girl wanders blindly towards the ocean, just before the tide comes in. The child's father rallies his friends to man the rowboats and go to the rescue. The little girl is saved from a watery grave, but the fate of the bully who caused it all is never revealed. This Pathe half-reel melodrama (which boasted some of the clumsiest "swimming" scenes ever put on film) was originally released in tandem with The Pillagers.
