synopsis
When a new attorney comes up against a veteran judge who isn't going to give him any help at all, he has to put all of his wits to use for the first time in his career. An amusing script and good timing by Attenborough, Carmichael and Terry-Thomas help to keep this British comedy moving, with Terry Thomas particularly funny as the habitual defendant.
