Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Melanie Laurent's teen psychological drama Breathe stars Josephine Japy as Charlie, a seventeen-year-old who does well in school and seems to have everything going for her. When the much more sophisticated Sarah (Loe de Laage} moves to town, however, Charlie finds herself drawn to the world girl whose mother supposedly works for an NGO. The two become fast friends, but soon Sarah makes Charlie uncomfortable with her wilder ways. When Sarah Charlie learns a secret about Sarah, their relationship takes a sinister turn. Breathe screened at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
